The Corporate Services Division incorporates governance, finance, legal, risk, information technology, property and logistics. The focus of the Division is to ensure Cancer Council’s Corporate Services operate to the highest standards of efficiency and effectiveness to ensure compliance and support the organisation to deliver on its Strategic Priorities. The Division also works to ensure the protection and optimisation of the Council’s financial and business assets, and reputation. 

 

The Finance team provide several services to the organisation including financial reporting, management analysis, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and revenue processing. The Management Analysis function is responsible for providing financial advice and analysis, funds administration and business planning support.

About your opportunity

We are seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to join the Corporate Services Division. Reporting to the Head of Finance your role is to:

  • Lead and develop the Financial Planning & Analysis team, fostering high performance, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for organisation‑wide planning cycles including budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting.
  • Delivers advanced financial modelling, analysis and insights to inform strategic decisions and support senior leaders and Board committees.
  • Ensures strong financial governance through the application of policies, controls, accounting standards and enterprise planning systems (Oracle EPM).
  • Drives process improvement across FP&A, enhancing automation, standardisation, data quality and reporting effectiveness.

All about you

We are looking for someone with:

  • Substantial experience working in a medium or large organisation in a Financial Planning & Analysis functional and people leadership role.
  • Highly refined written and verbal communication skills, preparing and presenting executive level insights and recommendations.
  • Hands‑on experience with enterprise planning tools and advanced Excel/BI skills.
  • Leading advanced financial modelling and analytical capability with high attention to detail, data quality and control
  • Professional accounting qualification.
