The Prevention Division aims to reduce the risk of cancer in the Victorian population through social marketing, advocacy, professional education and providing advice based on the best available evidence. This involves action to affect individual behaviours and the broader physical and legislative environment to support health and wellbeing. Our programs include: SunSmart, Quit Victoria, Achievement Program, Screening, Early Detection and Immunisation (SEDI), and the Food for Health Alliance.

About your opportunity

We are seeking a Marketing and Campaign Advisor, Lung Screening to join the Prevention Division. Reporting to the Marketing Manager your role is to:

  • Be part of implementing the social marketing strategy for the National Lung Screening Program.
  • Lead the optimisation of innovative marketing and advertising materials in collaboration with the Marketing Manager
  • Work closely with Communications team to identify integration opportunities that maximise impact across paid, owned and earned channels.
  • Provide written evaluation reports on the results of promotion and advertising strategies, including the tracking and analysis of marketing mediums and response mechanisms

All about you

We are looking for someone with:.

  • Tertiary qualification in marketing, advertising, or communications. 
  • Substantial experience in a similar role, with demonstrated experience in marketing, communications, or a related field, ideally with a focus on social marketing campaigns
  • Proven excellence and experience in campaign implementation, tracking and optimisation with the ability to focus on delivering results to time and budget.
  • Demonstrated communication and negotiation skills including the ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Highly developed organisation skills including the ability to coordinate multiple partnerships and projects concurrently and to prioritise and schedule tasks effectively
  • Experience working on campaigns for priority audiences including but not limited to LGBTIQA+, culturally diverse, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, people with disabilities, regional and rural communities.
