This volunteering role provides the opportunity to work with multiple teams across the organisation, including the Heritage Team, the Supporter Insights and Innovation Unit (Fundraising and Communication Division), and Prevention teams such as Quit Media and Communications team, SunSmart Media and Communications team, the Achievement Program and Tobacco in Australia: Facts and Issues team.

About your opportunity

The Prevention and Campaign Support Intern will participate in three consecutive rotations through different teams. Each team will require you to engage with different tasks, such as:  

  • Create and organise digital copies of historical material.
  • Make outbound calls to existing supporters.
  • Provide administrative and research support to various public health campaign teams.
  • Assist with the planning and creation of social media content.

All about you

We are looking for someone with:

  • Progress towards an undergraduate degree in public health, social sciences, humanities, or a related field.
  • Excellent written communication skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated interest in the not-for-profit sector.
  • Flexibility to undertake multiple new tasks across a short period of time.

  • Training and ongoing support will be provided. We also offer a flexible and friendly work environment, social and wellbeing activities, and a central location close to public transport.
  • Applicants for this volunteering opportunity must commit to one day a week for six months. Agreed days and hours are negotiable.
