The Fundraising and Communications Division (FCD) is responsible for ensuring that Cancer Council maintains a visible, engaging presence in the community; and to inspire and activate support from the Victorian public.
The Brand, Communications and Marketing Unit (BCM) within FCD works across multiple channels and campaigns, to deliver innovative, omni-channel, impactful marketing and communications activities. The Performance Media Specialist role sits within BCM’s Digital Marketing team alongside Paid Media, SEO, UX and Social Media positions, under the leadership of the Digital Marketing Manager.
About your opportunity
We are seeking a Performance Media Specialist to join the Fundraising and Communications Division. Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager your role is to:
- Champion the donor journey through paid media channels, applying best practice to maximise messaging, audience targeting, bid automation and target setting to deliver campaign results and performance targets
- Be the central point to enhance campaign performance by collaborating and working with cross-functional teams – including Fundraising, CRM, Insights, Creative, Paid Media, and Digital Marketing
- Be autonomous and proactive to own the end-to-end campaign experience, including setup across key digital platforms within Meta and Google Marketing Platforms, particularly Paid Search via SA360, Programmatic (DV360), and Video advertising
- Devise and implement opportunities to test campaign effectiveness, including testing strategies across campaign assets and landing pages
- Be an advocate for change within the organisation, leveraging data-driven results and insights to unlock new opportunities to strengthen campaign and performance impact
All about you
We are looking for someone with:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Advertising, Media and Communications, or a related discipline
- Substantial experience in Digital Marketing or Paid Media/Media Agency and/or demonstrated relevant fundraising industry experience
- Demonstrated success in managing digital performance campaigns across key channels, with hands-on experience in campaign setup and platform management within Meta, Programmatic, Video, and Google Marketing Platform, including Search
- Robust experience supporting performance campaign strategies to deliver fundraising revenue results and drive lead generation campaign
- Proven ability to be agile and problem-solve, ability to take initiative with attention to detail
