The focus of the Corporate Services Division is to ensure Cancer Council’s corporate services operate to the highest standards of efficiency and effectiveness to ensure compliance and support the organisation to deliver on its Strategic Priorities.

The Information Technology (IT) and more specifically the Digital team is where you’ll be situated within Cancer Council. Our digital vision is to prevent cancer, empower patients and save lives through connection, collaboration and innovation. The IT team champions this vision and supports the rest of the organisation in its realisation. We deliver the software platforms, infrastructure, support, security and services that enable Cancer Council Victoria as a digital-first organisation.

About your opportunity

We are seeking a UI/UX Designer to join the Corporate Services Division. Reporting to the Product Manager your role is to:

  • Lead the design and maintenance of digital design systems across key platforms like Quit.org.au, other National Cessation Platform (NCP), and Cancer Council Victoria web properties, ensuring brand consistency, accessibility, and scalability.
  • Drive design process innovation and system governance, refining collaboration workflows and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement in digital delivery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including developers, researchers, and content specialists—in an agile environment to deliver user-centred digital solutions.
  • Transform research, SME, and analyst insights into intuitive, high-quality digital interfaces, from low-fidelity wireframes to polished UI designs that support behaviour change at scale.
  • Develop and deliver interactive prototypes that enable third-party partners to conduct user testing and gather actionable feedback on new features.

All about you

  • We are looking for someone with:
  • Strong practical experience in UI/UX design, with a focus on human-centred design, accessibility (WCAG), and responsive layouts.
  • Proven ability to design and manage digital design systems using Figma.
  • Experience working in cross-functional, sprint-based teams, collaborating with developers, product managers, content authors and/or researchers.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate research insights into testable designs that improve user experience.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the confidence to facilitate workshops and present designs clearly.
