  • Play a key role in managing and streamlining data access requests, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of vital cancer statistics
  • Fixed term, 12-months parental leave replacement, part-time position (0.6 to 1 FTE)

About your opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join the Victorian Cancer Registry Division. Reporting to the Head, Data Analytics your role is to:

  • Manage data requests received from researchers, government and non-government organisations for cancer data held by the VCR and assist in the analysis and reporting of VCR data for a range of stakeholders
  • Triage data requests to appropriate VCR teams, providing hands-on servicing of requests as required, and monitoring and reporting on data access activities to the Head, Data Analytics and Director of the VCR
  • Assist the Head of Data Analytics with the analysis and generation of the annual incidence and mortality file and production of the annual ‘Statistics in Victoria’ publication

All about you

We are looking for someone with:

  • Knowledge of ICD-10 classification
  • Proficiency in use of R and R Markdown
  • Demonstrated experience with working with large complex data sets including interrogation and analysis of the data
  • Demonstrated experience in project and stakeholder management
