The Centre for Behavioural Research in Cancer’s (CBRC) mission is to conduct high quality applied behavioural research to inform and influence cancer prevention policies, programs and services, in order to reduce the impact of cancer on the Victorian community. CBRC also leads the research and evaluation activities of the Quit Program, including the Quitline service – a multi-session telephone behavioural counselling service for smoking and vaping cessation.
About your opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Research and Evaluation Officer, Quit to join the Centre for Behavioural Research in Cancer. Reporting to the Senior Research and Evaluation Manager, Quit your role is to:
- Manage the implementation, analysis and reporting of research, evaluation and monitoring studies for Quitline services
- In consultation with other team members, design, undertake, interpret and provide advice on multivariate statistical analyses
- Prepare and disseminate status, monitoring, research insights and evaluation presentations and reports and, as appropriate, papers for peer-reviewed journal publication
- Build, develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external clients, collaborators and other stakeholders
All about you
We are looking for someone with:
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, behavioural sciences, social sciences or related discipline
- Demonstrated understanding of survey and research design methods and issues in behavioural research or evaluation
- Extensive experience in conducting multivariate statistical analysis using Stata or SPSS and the ability to interpret outputs
- Effective stakeholder and interpersonal skills, including the ability to convey research findings to others including non-researchers
