About your opportunity

We are seeking a Cancer Registry Systems Coordinator to join the Victorian Cancer Registry Division. Reporting to Manager, Cancer Information and in collaboration with the Registry Systems Analyst, your role is to help us modernise our registry systems. You will:

  • provide subject matter expertise in cancer registration, including reporting entities, data transfer processes, and handling cancer data from receipt to analysis and reporting.
  • collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the new registry system is tailored to meet the needs of cancer registration efficiently and effectively.
  • work with the Registry Systems Analyst in the collection of requirements for the new system, offering insights into the best solutions for modernising cancer registry processes.
  • engage with potential vendors, assess the suitability of proposed systems, and contribute to evaluations during the selection process.
  • develop documentation and materials to support the purchasing and implementation of the new registry system, ensuring a smooth transition to a modernised platform

All about you

We are looking for someone with:

  • Knowledge of cancer registry processes and coding practices.
  • Project management experience.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Expertise in process improvement, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships and develop procedural guidelines.
