Within the Behavioural Science Division, the Centre for Behavioural Research in Cancer’s (CBRC) mission is to conduct high quality behavioural research and evaluation to inform the development and implementation of effective cancer prevention policies, programs and services. The Centre comprises a multidisciplinary team of behavioural and social scientists, health promotion researchers and support staff, committed to understanding how large-scale behavioural and environmental interventions can reduce population cancer risk.
About your opportunity
We are seeking an Office Manager to join CBRC. Reporting to the Research Operations Manager your role is to:
- Deliver operational and support services including administrative, financial, contractual, IT, logistics, procurement, information and human resource management.
- Develop, manage and maintain documentation of operational procedures and processes and develop and implement systems of continuous improvement.
- Organise meetings, workshops, conferences, registrations, travel logistics.
- Support the development and tracking of metrics for CBRC and organisational strategic measures.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting cancer research and with:
- Experience in successfully delivering a full range of high-level administrative support to senior staff within a team environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with diverse demands, competing priorities, anticipate needs, meet deadlines and support the timely completion of deliverables in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision or direction.
- Ability to use initiative to problem solve, identify opportunities for improvement, implement innovative solutions and manage change within an office management environment.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with the proven ability to prepare high-quality documentation.
