The Prevention Division aims to reduce the risk of cancer in the Victorian population through social marketing, advocacy, professional education and providing policy advice based on the best available evidence. This involves action to affect individual behaviours and the broader physical and legislative environment to support health and wellbeing.

The Digital Team sits within the Prevention Division’s Marketing and Communications Team with the aim of maintaining all the digital communications platforms. The Digital Team provides strategic advice on how to best leverage channels to assist on the delivery of the Division’s mission. The Digital Team works closely the health programs and marketing to create engaging content and assist the delivery of mass media campaigns.

About your opportunity

We are seeking a Digital Analytics Officer to join the Prevention Division. Reporting to the Digital Manager, your role is to:

  • Audit, analyse, and optimise digital data to support strategic goals.
  • Implement tracking and tagging mechanisms to monitor user interactions and campaign effectiveness.
  • Develop and deliver data-driven projects, including A/B testing and dashboard creation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate analytics requirements into digital projects.
  • Provide support and training to team members on analytics tools and data interpretation.

All about you

We are looking for someone with:

  • Demonstrated expertise in digital analytics platforms such as Google Analytics (GA4) and Adobe Analytics.
  • Proficiency in implementing tracking and tagging mechanisms (e.g., Google Tag Manager).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for presenting insights and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in data visualisation tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce and integrating data for comprehensive reporting.
